Preliminary calculation for shutters project , you need to measure in 3 positions: the width of the opening (bottom, middle, top)and the height of the opening (left, middle, right). Select the smallest values (WxH) and subtract from them at least 1 mm on each side.
This scheme is used because there are no perfectly or exactly size of  openings. Small gaps are required to correctly, without distortion, install the "box" in the opening and align it vertically and horizontally.
